How to Use Caustic Soda for a Clogged WC (as long as no plastic is inside):

1. For safety: wear rubber gloves, nose/mouth mask, eye protection, and open the bathroom doors and windows.

2. Make sure the WC bowl is not flooded above the normal height. If it’s too full, wait until the water level drops.

3. Pour half a pack of caustic soda into the WC hole using a plastic spoon. No need to add more water as the water in the pipe is enough to trigger the reaction of the caustic soda.

4. Let the caustic soda react with the water for about 10 – 15 minutes. Test if the WC is clear by pouring some water into it.

5. If the problem persists, repeat the above steps with more caustic soda and for a longer duration.
