Fiberkote sealer propan fps-820 base coat for conwood fiber cement

FIBERKOTE PENETRATING SEALER FPS-820 is a solvent-based primer specially designed for fiber cement boards, providing excellent adhesion for the finishing coat.

Advantages:

• Helps even out the paint absorption on the entire board surface

• Prevents moisture rise from the substrate

• Suitable for both interior and exterior use

Packaging: 1 L and 2.5 L
Color: Transparent (does not alter the original color)

Surface Preparation:

• Inspect and fill any defects on the substrate with appropriate cement or recommended materials

• Ensure substrate moisture content ≤ 16% and pH between 7 and 8

• Optional sanding with 240 grit sandpaper

• Clean surface from dust, mold, algae, oil, and other contaminants

Primer Coat:

• Apply FPS-820 with a brush in one full coat without thinning (± 200 ml/m²)

• Allow to dry for at least 2 hours

Top Coat:

• Use FIBERKOTE FBK-888 / FBK-889 diluted with 10–20% clean water

• Apply 2–3 even coats with at least 2 hours drying time between coats

Note for floor/deck application:

• Use FIBERKOTE FBK-888 and allow final coat to dry at least 24 hours
