Aquaproof Polyester Fiber Mesh

Description:
Polyester Mesh is made from polyester material woven into a grid pattern. Other reinforcements include fiber type A, made of long fibers, and type B, woven fabric with denser grid patterns (see gallery photos).

Aquaproof Polyester Mesh is durable even under extreme weather conditions such as rain and intense sunlight. In contrast, fiber mesh exposed to direct sunlight tends to dry out, become brittle, and the sharp fiber ends can damage the waterproofing layer, causing leaks or seepage.

Type B reinforcements look good under waterproof coating but do not fully adhere to the substrate and have lower tensile strength compared to Polyester Mesh. Other reinforcements are generally used to strengthen layers on cracked or leaking areas.

Polyester Mesh is not only used as a waterproofing layer reinforcement but also serves as reinforcement in vulnerable areas such as:

• Joints

• Edges and corners

• Areas with active movement

• Intersection of two surfaces

The main difference between Aquaproof Polyester Mesh and other fiber types lies in its superior durability and tensile strength, making it more effective in protecting and reinforcing waterproofing layers.
